I want to know what my options are and what I can do? Anyone been in this situation before? I have heard of people using an already pre-existing EZ Pass account to waive the fees and just to pay tolls. I obviously wasn't trying to do this on purpose and I don't want to get boned financially on what should only have cost me $2. If I didn't have to pay this random crap and just an administrative fee I'd be happy. I'm having to pay for some dumb "Ambulance Company Fees" and "Combat violent crimes fees". Anyways, I accrued $102 worth of fines on tolls worth $2. My GPS said to stay In the far left lane while going thru (which in retrospect was strange) but I didn't know the area so I just went with it. I think my issue is that I drove thru an EZ pass fast lane on accident. Here in NYS we have the thruway which is much more cut and dry with what lanes and fees there are. I'm from NY and have never driven through PA and Delaware and an not familiar with their toll systems whatsoever. The Commission’s frequency-based commuter discount also will end at this time.Hi, So about six or so weeks ago I went on vacation in Delaware. The approved 2024 toll rate schedule (effective January 2024) increases the E-ZPass Class 1 vehicle rate to $1.50. (Note: The Scudder Falls Toll Bridge currently is the only DRJTBC crossing with all-electronic tolling and TOLL BY PLATE service.) The off-peak E-ZPass discount for trucks, buses and commercial vehicles 8-feet and above in height will expire starting April 11. The per-axle rates for trucks, buses, and other vehicles 8 feet or more in height will be $4.50 per axle for E-ZPass and $5 per axle for cash/TOLL BY PLATE, starting April 11. This reduced discount will continue through 2023. The commuter discount will be reduced to 20 percent for eligible motorists who record 16 or more tolled trips across DRJTBC bridges in a respective calendar month, starting May 1, 2021. The Commission’s volume-based E-ZPass commuter discount, however, can only be applied to passenger vehicle transponders issued by the Commission’s toll processor - the regional New Jersey E-ZPass Customer Service Center. (Note: E-ZPass is used in 75 percent of passenger vehicle toll transactions and 90 percent of commercial vehicle toll transactions in the Commission’s bridge system.)Īll E-ZPass users - regardless of issuing agency - qualify for the E-ZPass rates.

Drivers without E-ZPass would pay higher rates. Motorists with E-ZPass transponders qualify for lower rates. Under the new toll rate schedules, uniform two-tiered rates (higher for Cash/TOLL BY PLATE transactions and lower for E-ZPass transactions) will charged at the Commission’s eight toll bridges starting April 11. The second toll schedule is expected to take effect in January 2024. Apwith the exception of the new reduced 20-percent frequent E-ZPass commuter discount, which is scheduled to start May 1. The top schedule of toll rates is currently scheduled to take effect 12:00:01 a.m. The rate changes constitute the Commission’s first system-wide toll adjustment in 10 years.
