The beaches in NL couldn't hold a villager, but on NH's island they theoretically could.
More importantly, the beach in NH can be built on and is fully usable space.
NL total Squares: 76 x 76 = 5774 NH new Squares: 76 x 11 = 836 If we look at the top there are at least 2 squares above NL's - for simplicity because I don't want to count down all the way I'm going to assume the length and width are about equal and say this is a total of 11 extra rows of squares worth of space. Trying to count across the individual squares, it looks like the NL map was 76 squares across, while the NH map is an additional 9 squares to the water - that's more than a 10% increase right there. Great work, but I don't really think it's a fairly small increase.
